The underground parking project at Le Van Tam Park and the Drum Tower are expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2018.
July 18, Department of Transport Ho Chi Minh City said the underground parking project at Le Van Tam park was invested by Underground Investment Development Joint Stock Company. And the underground parking project at Dong Duong Stage is being invested by Indochina Group limited company. It is expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2018.
According to Department of Transport Ho Chi Minh City, before, due to lack of financial arrangements so the project of underground car park at Le Van Tam Park was not commenced.
As for the underground parking project at Trong Dong Stage, due to the part of the project located in the control area of Metro Line 2 so it is necessary to consider the technical design which leads to the extension of time.
At the same time, the investor proposed to add the Tan Son Nhat airport passenger terminal, so the project was waiting for completion.
Up to now, both underground parking projects at Le Van Tam Park and the Trong Dong stage are ready to start construction.
In addition, the underground parking project at Tao Dan Park and at Hoa Lu Stadium were also approved by the city of Ho Chi Minh City for project proposal and project feasibility.
However, due to the large size project, the design solution is complex, so far the new investor is completing and it will expected to start construction in 2019 and complete in 2022.
